Chalk it Up
The Rose Festival and Chalk it Up are being held September 11 and 12, 2026. Main St. will be closed from College to Ft. Worth, Dallas will be closed from Main St to Ash, and El Paso will be closed from 1st to 1/2 a block east of Ash, beginning at 9:00am on Friday, September 11 until 8:00pm on Saturday, September 12. The Festival kicks off at 5pm on Friday.
Homecoming Parade
The Homecoming Parade is being held Thursday, October 1, 2026. Event organizers are closing Main St. from the north side of Elgin Street to the north side of West Indianola Street including Ash Ave. to 2nd St on Elgin, Detroit, and College beginning at 3:00pm until about 5:30pm. The Parade kicks off at 4:00pm at Main and College and ends at BAPAC. Cars will exit on West Houston and floats will go to the PAC. Driveway for The Brio will be open.
Cool Grilles Classic Car Show
Cool Grilles Classic Car Show is being held Saturday, October 10, 2026. Event organizers are closing Main St. from College to Ft. Worth including Broadway, Commercial, Dallas, and El Paso from Main to the alleyways on the east and west sides of Main beginning at 5:30am until about 5:00pm.
Veteran's Day Parade
The Veteran's Day Parade is being held Saturday, November 7, 2026. Event organizers are closing Main St. from the north side of Elgin Street through Central Park Community Center. Other closures include Elgin between Ash and 1st St., Ash Ave. between Elgin and College, Detroit from Ash to 2nd St., and College from Ash to 1st St. beginning at 8:30am until approximately 12:00pm. The Parade kicks off at 10:00am at Main and College and ends at Central Park.
